Located just below the magnificent Yosemite National Park in Mariposa County , this meticulously maintained, multi-feature recreation area is owned and operated by Merced Irrigation District.

Lake McClure enjoys the reputations of being known as the very best fishing lake in California. This may be due to the elaborate stocking programs. Or perhaps it is because so many fish call this lake home including Rainbow Trout, Kokanee and Salmon.
