Welcome to Hook 'em Up Guide Service!

My name is Mark Cauwels and I have lived in Merced County most of my life. I am an avid hunter and fisherman, and have been fishing our Motherlode lakes for over 30 years. I enjoy giving others the thrill of the sport and will take any level of participant out to fish.

If you have never fished before, or if you’re an experienced fisherman who just wants to learn the finer points of control depth fishing, or if you just want a day on the lake with your son, grandson or wife, I can give you an enjoyable day and customize the trip to meet your personal needs. I prefer guiding no more than 3 people on a trip so I can give you the individualized attention you deserve.
